Who is this course for?

10TH GRADE - 12TH GRADE

For students with a passion for theatre, performance and working together to bring plays to life.

For students with acting experience either in Theatre 2 or Theatre 1a/1b or through extracurricular activities.

This is a course for you to push yourself, walk in another persons shoes and work on longer projects as a team.

Students interested in theatre production, technical theatre, theatre management and costume/set design.

Students who want to study the craft of acting in performance, the rehearsal process and directing.

Students who are keen to perform live, to an audience.
What might we study...?*

Theatre Industry in Action - audition process, technical roles explored.

Naturalism in Performance - Production of a play (WINTER PRODUCTION)

Advanced Shakespeare/Classical Theatre in Production- HDTF and/or DTASC Spring Shakespeare Festival

Production Project- (SPRING PRODUCTION) student leadership and management.
*Programs of work subject to change depending on students interests and abilities.
Entry requirements and how do I sign up?
Previous experience of theater or performance desired although an interest in, and a passion for performance is essential.
If you have take part in Theatre 1 or Theatre 2 and want to learn more, this is the course for you.
Short audition needed for entry to this course.
Some after school rehearsals included in this course.
Performance to an audience is part of this course.
